Electronic Poker is a favored game that can be enjoyed in casinos across the world, or in your house on your computer, using a net connection. The game rules are absolutely simple and consist of the player attempting to achieve the highest combination of cards possible in order to come away with cash. In this respect it’s much the same as a normal game of poker, without the line of contact with any other players. Of course, techniques employed during a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be useless here.
The game of Electronic Poker begins when the enthusiast inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the machine and presses the draw button. A hand of 5 cards will be "distributed" on the video screen.
The Electronic Poker game also has hold buttons, and gamblers should now pick which cards to keep and which to discard. For the cards the enthusiast would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the gambler has chosen which cards he or she wishes to retain, the player will then press ‘draw’, which will mean that any new cards are given out if desired. The round is now finished, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payment schedule.
Typically, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the payout schedule can vary from game to game, so that skillful gamblers are agile enough to select the most beneficial game each and every instance.
After the first round has completed, the player can either decide to stay on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that they may have won. Further, several styles of the game allow the bettor an opportunity to double their winnings, in which case a further round is played. There are also variations between individual games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying elements to increase playability.
