Video poker is usually played with a machine, which displays the gambler’s cards on a video monitor. Connecting parts of poker and one armed bandits, this variation poker is one of the number of games in the gambling hall where you could really have a realistic chance of succeeding, as opposed to depending on the pure luck of slot machines or roulette.
The gambler places a bet and the video poker machine deals out five cards from a standard 52-card deck. The user then has 1 opportunity to keep or discard any number of unneeded cards, and is dealt an equal number of new cards from the deck.
