Video poker is generally played with a machine, which shows the user’s cards on a video screen. Joining pieces of poker and slots, this type poker is one of the few games in the gambling den where you will in fact have an actual expectation of winning, as opposed to being at mercy of pure luck of slot machine games or roulette.
The user puts a bet and the electronic poker machine deals five cards from a standard 52-card pack. The player then has a single opportunity to hold or throw away any number of unneeded cards, and is allotted an equal number of replacement cards from the pack.
Following the replacement cards are allotted the payouts are figured depending on the 5-card poker hand. The pay out depends on the set style of game begin wagered on.
There are a bunch of video poker variations, including: Deuces Wild, Jacks or Better and Bonus Poker.
